A new beginning...
withered leaves
land scorched and broken
barren trees
spirits down
i look through the window
at the gray world
wondering if color ever existed
and then there is rain
melting the heat
tiny droplets of relief
trees ... green again
new leaves ... glowing red
birds chirping
earth glowing
sky a bright blue
spirits lifted
demons of yesterday washed away
Today is a new beginning, glowing and bright
all because there is rain ...

Day36-Fountain HDR
This is my crazy experiment, ok maybe not so crazy after all becoz I am sure someone would have surely tried this before....
This is an HDR generated by using 5 exposures taken at different Aperture values of f/5.6, two at f/8 with different shutter speeds, f/11 and f16.
Used photomatix to generate the HDR as you can see from the watermark and also used "Painterly" preset for tone mapping...
I am not thrilled with the image but it looks ok ... little better than I had expected it to ...

Day35-doorway to... in B&W
I noticed this doorway taking a walk around office. This is the entrance wall of one of the offices around here, though the whole complex has been deserted for a while and has an eerie feeling to it, this doorway reminds me of an horror TV soap I used to watch as a child.
I can almost see the ladylike figure standing at the end of the path with a lamp in her hands ...
No wonder I love this shot in B&W but let me know if you feel otherwise...

Day34- close to nature
Ok I know I have been procastinating, not that I am not taking pictures, I am just too slow in post processing them :(
Was reading a book the other day which mentioned that in the (g)olden days, there were photographers and there were editors and one could not do the job of the other.... oh I wish I wish !!!
Anyways enough ramblings of my lazy brain ... I had gone to take a picture of this tree lined street behind my office just after rain had ended and as luck would have it, this nice lady had started her jog at the same time I parked my car.
I literally ran out of the car with my camera leaving the car open, raised my camera and shot a frame before she passed me by.
Though after that I had time to set the tripod, check my camera settings, change f-stop to 16 and shoot many frames, none of them convey the majesty of these tall trees like this one.

Day27-Garden Visitor
Finally caught that woodpecker :)
I have been tracking this tiny creature's comings and goings on the tree in my backyeard :-) for some time now (yes, still tracking to get a better maybe closer shot)
With my camera + 18-200mm VRii lens @ 200mm, set on tripod in the balcony, pre-focussed to this spot, in burst mode I shot some interesting frames ....
